Hi! My name is Vanessa Chiaravalloti
I founded Holy Cannoli in 2014 in honour of my father, longtime bakery owner and all around dessert master of our family owned Bona Via Bakery in Scarborough from 1985-2011.
Our goal was to offer the fresh filled Cannoli with the same quality and taste as my father would have made in the bakery. After trying many of the local offerings at the time, we also wanted to ensure that aside from great quality, we wanted a consistent product that people would always recognize as ours.
In 2016, my husband Tom joined the business and makes all our amazing creams in house and another true family business was born.
We opened the store in November 2021 after many years of working our of ghost kitchens and attending many festivals, food shows, farmers markets and other such mobile events. We also offer wholesale and catering options to business near and far. Opening the store in the amazing South Etobicoke community has been a huge blessing for us, we are grateful that we can offer a warm and welcoming environment for all our clientele along with amazing quality products and service. If you have visited the shop, you understand that we’ve created a true mom and pop shop feeling, something that pays homage to my parents bakery.
